Bible: Emphasis is on singing praises; memorizing scripture verses; and learning basic understandings about God, Jesus, Heaven, satan, salvation, assurance, and sin. 

 

 

Writing: Emphasis on proper placement of letters on the lines, writing short vowel words, and writing the student’s name with only the first letter capitalized. 

 

Phonics: Emphasis is on the sound a letter makes, blending letters, sounding out one vowel words and differentiating between consonants and vowels. 

 

Numbers: Emphasis is on recognition and the use of number values 1 – 20, counting to 100, basic clock knowledge, and writing numbers.

 

Reading: Emphasis is on the understanding that letters make words, words make sentences, and reading from left to right.

 

Health: Emphasis on good health habits and manners, both with school and home application.

 

Music/Poetry/Finger Plays: Emphasis is on memorizing group singing, group reciting, and having fun. 

 

Art: Emphasis is on following directions and using fine motor skills to create a masterpiece.

 

Christmas Program

End of Year Program: Emphasis is on showing what they have learned   throughout the year.
