Spiritual Life
Bible: Character Quest teaches the pursuit of godliness through a variety of different character traits each year.
Chapel: Weekly worship with an emphasis on Christian commitment, lifestyle issues, and practical applications of Biblical truth to daily living.
Academic Life
Reading/Language Arts: Emphasis is on comprehension, vocabulary, poetry and oral expression. Students work on the eight parts of speech, diagramming, mechanics, and the research paper. Spelling and word building skills are reinforced.
Mathematics: Emphasis is on decimals, percents, geometry (particularly circles), and consumer math. Also provides a foundation for Junior High math and pre-algebra.
Social Studies: Emphasis is on New World history and geography, with a comprehensive look at American history.
Science: Emphasis is on building a foundation of scientific facts about God’s creation in preparation for higher level and more specialized science classes. Earth science, astronomy, and chemistry are focused upon.
Physical Education: Emphasis is on developing skills while encouraging cooperation and good sportsmanship.
Music: Participation in Spring and Christmas programs. Participation in a chimes ensemble is optional.
Art: Emphasis is on drawing, the study of color and developing creative skills.
